Ice Hockey

The Mater Dei Ice Hockey Club competes in the Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League (ADHSHL) with two teams representing the Monarchs.

For the 2022/2023 season, the Varsity team will compete in Division 2, and the Junior Varsity team will compete in the Harbor Division Conference.  With the support of the ADHSL, Mater Dei Ice Hockey Club is a combined team that draws players from Tustin, Mesa View, and Laguna School districts. Our club has a place for all levels of hockey players, from beginner to tier 1. With the ability to dual roster players, our club is an excellent complement to players who compete with other USA Hockey affiliated clubs. Our club also has a fantastic development program if you are new to Ice Hockey. We strive to create an environment where the student-athlete can thrive, maintaining a balance of academic excellence and athletic development to foster confidence and success in hockey and life.

Practices begin in mid-August and continue to the end of February. The ADHSHL season kicks off with a preseason showcase at the end of August, and then official games start in September. Each team has 18 regular season games, and then playoffs begin at the beginning of February.
