Running Backs

Coach O’Hara begins his 14th season coaching at Mater Dei and serves as the Running Backs Coach. In 1977, Tim was the Quarterback and Team Captain at Mater Dei where he led the Monarchs to the Angelus League Championship. Tim continued his playing career at Saddleback College where he led the Gauchos to two conference titles and a Mission Bowl victory in 1979.

Tim was the Mater Dei Freshman Offensive Coordinator in 1982, 1983, 1985 and 1986. Tim has served as the Offensive Coordinator at Santa Margarita (where his last two teams at Santa Margarita won Division V CIF titles), Saddleback Junior College and Head Football Coach at Savanna High School from 2001. Tim has a Master’s Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific and is the Dean of Students at Mater Dei.

Tim resides in Orange with his wife Alyssa and their four boys, Seamus (Mater Dei Class of 2010), Dominic (Mater Dei Class of 2011), Sawyer and Luke (Mater Dei Class of 2019).
