Redzone

Raising funds has been a high wire act over the past 10 years. The Mater Dei Football Red Zone program aims to eliminate the “two minute drill” the staff deals with each fall to raise the funds necessary to successfully field a program for 200 student athletes and coaches.

The Red Zone program is a fiscal game plan to provide a “pay it forward model” enabling the coaches to coach and develop student athletes, as opposed to spending countless hours raising funds.

The goal of the Red Zone is to encourage a monetary gift to the Mater Dei Football program, which will help to defray some costs associated with running the football program.

Mater Dei is the largest co-educational Catholic High School west of the Mississippi. 99 to 100% of the students in each graduating class matriculate on to college with almost 95% qualifying for immediate acceptance into a four year college or university. In addition, 40% of Mater Dei’s 2,100 students receive need based financial aid while representing the most ethnically diverse high school in Orange County. Approximately 9% of Mater Dei’s students play football under the direction of Coach Rollinson who produces champions on/off the field and in the classroom. More than half of his players have GPAs of 3.0 or above.

The lessons derived from the discipline, teamwork and sacrifice instilled by Coach Rollinson have served thousands of his former players. When combining a Mater Dei education and their experience as members of Coach Rollinson’s football program, these fine young men have gone onto serve our community as doctors, lawyers, soldiers, businessmen, teachers, coaches, police officers, husbands and fathers. Like Coach Rollinson’s efforts, your help will go well beyond the football field. We need your help to sustain Mater Dei Football and its legacy.
