Monarch Splash Club
Raising funds for our Boys & Girls Water Polo Programs has been an instrumental part of ensuring that our program can continue as one of the Nation’s most elite. The Monarch Splash Club has been created as an avenue for our coaches to raise the funds necessary to field a program of nearly 100 student athletes and coaches.
The Monarch Splash Club enables coaches to spend more time coaching and running their program as opposed to spending hours and hours fundraising. The goal of the Monarch Splash Club is to promote financial support of the Boys & Girls Water Polo Programs, which will help off set some of the costs related to running such a high level program.
Mater Dei is the largest co-educational Catholic High School west of the Mississippi. 99 to 100% of the students in each graduating class matriculate on to college with almost 95% qualifying for immediate acceptance into a four year college or university. In addition, 55% of Mater Dei’s 2,200 students receive need based financial aid while representing the most ethnically diverse high school in Orange County.
Mater Dei Water Polo, on both the boys and girls sides, have achieved several CIF Championships, CIF Finals appearances, Trinity League Championships and Regional Championships. Each year, several of our players, both boys and girls, go on to play NCAA Water Polo. In addition, we have players representing the United States as members of US National Teams, most notable being Bret Bonanni, McQuin Baron, and Thomas Dunstan competing on the 2016 Olympic Team in Rio De Janeiro.
All proceeds to the Splash Club will directly benefit our student athletes, and will keep Mater Dei Water Polo atop in the National spotlight.
