Ken Dory (9th Year)
Swim Director
Head Boys Coach
Coach Dory began coaching age group in Irvine in 1985. In 1989, he joined the staff at Irvine High School and guided the Boy's Team to 10 consecutive League Championships from 1995 thru 2004. Irvine was the D1 Runner Up in 1998 and 1999, and then won back to back D1 titles in 2000 and 2001. While at Irvine, Coach Dory was named OC High School Coach of the year  by the OC Register twice (1998 and 2000) and by the LA Times twice (1999 and 2001).
Coach Dory left Irvine in 2008 after Starting both the Water Polo and Swim Programs at Concordia University in 2007 for both men and women. In 2012 while at Concordia, Dory led the men's team to a 3rd place finish at the NAIA National Championships and was named the Men's National NAIA Coach of the Year.    
After the 2012 season at Concordia, Coach Dory left college coaching and returned to high school coaching at Mater Dei for the 2013 season as head coach for both the boy's and girls team's. Both teams have finished in the top 2 at the Trinity League Championships during that time with the boys winning titles in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Dory was named OC Boys High School Coach of the year by the OC Register following the 2016 season.
Coach Dory received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from CSUN and his Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from CUI. He lives in Irvine with his wife Jenny of 28 years, and their four children, Erica (24), Logan (21), Kelly (18), and Sean (13).
Kelly Dullard (5th Year)
Head Girls Coach
Coach Dullard enters his 5th season with Mater Dei in 2020-2021, and was named Orange County Coach of the Year by the OC Register after leading the girls to a 9-1 dual meet record and 3rd place finish at CIF D1 Finals in the 2019 season!  In addition to being the Head Girls Coach, Kelly is an Associate Director of Athletics at MD.
Kelly comes to MD through Concordia University Irvine where he served as a Graduate Assistant to both the men’s and women's teams while earning his Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration in 2016. While at Concordia he also served as the Game Management and Sports Information Graduate Assistant, and has worked as the YMCA of San Diego County's Teen Program Coordinator.  Kelly has also coached in the Irvine Swim League.
Growing up in Waterbury, Connecticut Kelly received his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Springfield College in Massachusetts.  He was was a four year member of the swim team and competed in the IM and backstroke events. Kelly's experience with all age groups and diverse organizations make him a great fit on the MD coaching staff. 
Rachel Guilkey (4th Year)
Coach Guilkey enters her 4th year as a member of the MD coaching staff. Also a 4th year english teacher at MD, Rachel brings 16 years of coaching experience at the high school level as well as the club level. Rachel has coached water polo and has worked with Junior Guards as well. We are excited to have a faculty member on staff and someone with the experience that Rachel has! This year, Rachel will work with our Intermediate athletes and serve as our Girls Varsity Assistant Coach. 
John Redoutey (3rd Year)
Coach Redoutey enters his 3rd year as a member of the MD Coaching staff. Redoutey is our first swim Alumnus to join our staff, and swam 4 years under Coach Dory during that time. He was a member of MD's League Championship seasons, and has had three siblings compete for the Monarchs since then. Redoutey attended Seton Haul University after MD, where he competed and contributed to their first Conference Championship. Redoutey's experience at MD as a student athlete brings valuable connection with our current teams, and we are fortunate to have him aboard.
Jon Schimming (2nd Year)
Coach Schimming is our newest coach to our staff. Schimming, out of Norco, CA, where he was a team captain and MVP. Schimming studied and competed at Concordia University as well. Having experience with age group and with Fountain Valley High School have made it easy for him to start up with us in our off season working with our younger athletes. Schimming has acclimated very quickly to our program and will be a huge part of our success in the 2021 season!
