First Annual Girls’ Beach Volleyball Pairs Tournament
General information
This is the first annual high school Varsity / Junior Varsity beach volleyball tournament. The tournament will be held in Huntington Beach at either Brookhurst or Newland courts. There will be pool play followed by a playoff bracket single elimination. Schools may enter up to 5 pairs per level. Monitors will be present all day and on court for playoffs. Games will start at 8:00am with a coaches/players meeting at 7:30am. CIF rules will be enforced, attached is a quick overview of what is and is not allowed. Please relay to parents as well.
Tournament Dates:
Saturday, February 21st – Junior Varsity at Brookhurst St

Saturday, March 7th – Varsity at Newland St
– 7, Huntington Beach Bike Trail, Huntington Beach, CA 92646
Tournament format:
Pool play will be a match best out of 3: Games 1 and 2 to 21 no cap, tie breaker to 15 no cap. Top 2 teams will advance to gold bracket, Bottom 2 advance to silver bracket. Playoffs will be 1 game to 21. There will be monitors throughout the day and on court for playoffs. Reffing team will keep tally score and flip score.
Tie breaker:
Games won/loss head to head, then points differential
Parking:
Parking is $15 (without a parking pass) and the entrance is at Magnolia St or Beach Blvd
Fees:
$450 for 5 pairs – $300 for 3 pairs – $110 individual pairs
