Coach Silance began her lacrosse career at Mater Dei High School. She is a proud graduate of the Class of 2013. In addition to playing lacrosse at Mater Dei, Coach Silance also played soccer for 2 years and played lacrosse for Team OC Elite. While at Mater Dei, Coach Silance helped lead her team to two Trinity League titles in 2012 and 2013. She was also named the Trinity League Offensive MVP in 2012 and 2013, team Offensive MVP in 2012 and 2013, and First Team All-League in 2012 and 2013.
After graduating from Mater Dei, Coach Silance went on to UCLA where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in June of 2017. She was also a member of the UCLA Women’s Club Lacrosse team. At UCLA, Coach Silance helped lead her team to 2 third place finishes and 2 additional top ten finishes in the WCLA National Tournament. She was also named to the WWLL First Team All-League in 2014.
Coach Silance also teaches Biologyat Mater Dei. She is excited to be a part of such a prestigious school and cannot wait to continue building the legacy of Mater Dei Girls Lacrosse. Coach Silance truly loves the game of lacrosse and is thrilled to be able to share her love of the game with the players, families, friends, and community at Mater Dei High School.
Coach Williams is a native of Huntington Beach, California and graduated from Mater Dei High School in 2013. In high school Coach Williams played club ice hockey, played lacrosse for Team OC Elite and XTEAM and played lacrosse and roller hockey for Mater Dei. At MD, she served as lacrosse captain her junior and senior year, earned 3 team MVP honors, was named to the Trinity league first team in 2012 and 2013, and was an Athletic and Academic All American in 2013. She helped lead the team to two consecutive Trinity League titles in 2012 and 2013. Coach Williams was the first player in Mater Dei Girls’ Lacrosse history to sign a letter of intent to play competitively in college. She played Division II Lacrosse at Mercyhurst University for four years where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
While at Mercyhurst she served as a captain her senior year, earned 3rd team All-PSAC honors, earned the Players choice award, and was nominated for junior athlete of the year. She was also part of the first team in Mercyhurst Women’s Lacrosse history to win a conference title. Coach Williams then attended Syracuse University to obtain her master’s degree in Sport Venue and Event Management. While at Syracuse she worked with the Division I Women’s Lacrosse team under Head Coach Gary Gait.
Since being back in Southern California she has coached at Legacy Lacrosse OC and Canyon High School. Coach Williams’ philosophy is to help players take their game to the next level and pass on her passion for the game to young players in a fun environment.

Mater Dei Girl's Lacrosse
Michelle Mendoza is an Orange County local from Lake Forest, California. Her lacrosse journey began with El Toro HS and continued as she earned a B.A. in Communication Studies at Chapman University. During her college career, Coach Mendoza won a WWLL and WCLA Division II championship with the Panthers and helped transition the program into a NCAA DIII varsity sport. In Coach Mendoza's prior coaching experience, she has served programs at El Dorado HS, El Toro HS, Beckman HS, NOC Lacrosse, and Victory Select. In September 2019, she was hired as Head Coach for the Concordia University Irvine WCLA DII women's lacrosse team. Coach Mendoza's coaching philosophy is rooted in her faith as a Christian as well as a player-first, personal perspective.
